I found that aspect of the game to be a bit of a nightmare even with access to online resources. They are not found easily on the map, as the name implies, and you will want to make sure you explore them. I'm gonna reiterate that this is still a huge improvement over Stories 1 where most monsties had something like four different color combos and no in-game way to check an egg you just picked up. It doesn't ruin the game for me, just makes some aspect slightly less enjoyable. I don't expect Marvelous or Capcom to implement anything to remedy this. Main offenders for me(a variant of Red-Green Colorblind) are:ĭishonorable mention to the fricken HtH indicator line, all of the red herbs/mushrooms, and the enraged state on some monsters. But overall there are definitely still some eggs that I can't tell apart, especially when pulling a glowing egg which has the extra gold or purple tint on it. Stories 2 is definitely doing better than Stories 1 when it comes to being able to identify Monstie eggs, since now there's only one egg per species. Feels kinda bad to be a colorblind player of MHS.
